Why this exists
Every year, lakhs of students in India finish Class 10 and hit the same wall: Science, Commerce or Arts — chosen in a hurry, often based on what a friend picked, what a relative suggested, or which stream "sounds respectable." Few students at that age have a clear picture of what a stream actually leads to, what exams stand between them and a goal, or how many years the road really is.
Dasvi Ke Baad? was built to close that gap — a simple, honest, visual guide to the paths available after Class 10, from the subjects you'll need through to the exams, degrees and real career outcomes at the end of the road.
What we believe
- Information should be free. Career guidance shouldn't depend on which school you attend or which relatives you happen to know.
- Clarity beats pressure. We try to lay out facts — subjects, exams, durations — rather than tell anyone what to become.
- Decisions belong to students and their families. This is a starting point for a conversation, not a substitute for talking to teachers, counsellors and people already working in a field.
How it works
Pick a goal you already have in mind, or explore stream by stream — Science, Commerce or Arts — down to specific careers. Each career page lays out the subjects, entrance exams, degree path and rough timeline, and links onward to what people commonly do next, including postgraduate and career-change paths many students never hear about until much later.
Keeping it accurate
Exams, eligibility rules and degree structures change over time. We do our best to keep this guide accurate and clearly note where timelines are approximate — but we always recommend confirming exam-specific details on official sources (NTA, UPSC, ICAI, university websites) closer to the time of application.
